TAVULLIA - Land of the Champion Valentino Rossi 46
Tavullia is a municipality of 8001 inhabitants in the province of Pesaro and Urbino. It is located 70 km north-west of Ancona, 15 west from Pesaro, 30 from Rimini, 40 from the Republic of San Marino. There is also an exclave in Belvedere Fogliense on the border with the municipalities of Mondaino, Montecalvo in Foglia , Montegridolfo and Vallefoglia. The first settlement of Tavullia can probably be dated back to the Early Middle Ages, as can be presumed from the presence of a castle located on the slope of Monte Peloso, called “Castrum Montis Pilos Tumbao”. Tavullia was the site of violent clashes between the Malatesta and Da Montefeltro families, respectively belonging to the Guelph and Ghibelline factions. The bloodiest battle occurred near Monteluro, when the Sforza family intervened in favor of the Malatesta, resulting in their victory. From then on, the territory was often dotted with the presence of many castles, which unfortunately have not survived to the present day: of the Monteluro Castle, for example, only the ruins have survived despite it having been an important position strategic over the centuries. The village of Belvedere Fogliense offers a beautiful landscape with the church from the 1700s and the walls that surround it. Furthermore, in July the summer festival takes place in the city walls with rich stalls and typical meals. Well-known figures from Tavullia are the writer Fabio Tombari (who died in 1989) where he lived in the hamlet of Rio Salso, the motorbike riders Graziano and Valentino Rossi. In Tavullia there is Valentino's fan club present in the center of the town. There is also the Church of San Lorenzo Martire present since 1574 and the Gothic War Memorial of 1944.

PERGOLA - Of the gilded bronzes and of the truffle
Pergola, located along the upper valley of the Cesano river on a large terrace at the confluence with the Cinisco, is a small town but very rich in art which is about 50 meters from Fano. As evidence of its ancient glorious past, the famous Golden Bronzes from Cartoceto remain of Pergola of the Julio-Claudian age (between 23 and 29 BC) or even Caesarian age (30-50 BC), discovered only in 1946. On the identification of the four figures (two male on horseback and two female) of the group Various hypotheses have been put forward and a lot of research has been done, as well as on the time of creation, the origin and the reason for the shattering of the statues (damnatio memoriae, theft or spoils of war). The complex constitutes one of the very few large equestrian sculptural groups in gilded bronze from Roman antiquity that have come down to us and, after a long and complex work of recomposition and restoration, carried out with cutting-edge techniques and materials at the Restoration Center of Florence, they are now housed in the Museum of the Gilded Bronzes, which is located in the former convent of San Giacomo. Pergola is also known as the city of a hundred churches, rich in precious works of art; worth visiting is the church of San Francesco, with a beautiful fourteenth-century pointed arch portal. The Cathedral, formerly the church of the Augustinians, has a late Baroque interior and a nineteenth-century façade, just as the interiors of other churches are baroque: from Santa Maria Assunta to the church of the Three Wise Men, from Sant'Andrea to the eighteenth-century church of the Tinte, with a Greek cross plan with elegant octagonal dome. The ancient Palazzo Ducale, that of the Malatesta family and the eighteenth-century Teatro Angelo Dal Foco are also worth mentioning. Another prized product of Pergola is the truffle, to which a National Fair of the Prized White Truffle of Pergola and Typical Products is dedicated in autumn .
